To Bozeman City Commissioners,
As you consider making the Pride Flag Bozeman's city flag, please consider the following:
1. I do not support the Pride Flag as the Official City Flag. Not only does this go against
currently passed legislation HB 819, this is not inclusive of our entire community, but onlyone minority group. If you were to approve this, you will have set a precedent. Be ready to let
other groups ambush your meetings and insist on flying their flag as the official flag. EnterWhite Supremacy groups, fridge religious groups, etc.
2. Just because Missoula does something, Bozeman does not need to follow suit.
3. Please acknowledge that you were basically held hostage by supporters at the last meeting.
Forced to listen to an organized large group, allowing the derailment of the scheduled agendaand important city items.
4. The American Flag alone covers the desired freedoms of expression of ALL groups,
without elevating or alienating specific groups. It represents ALL people The state flag aswell. A city flag should be a flag that is inclusive of EVERYONE.
These comments are not about being anti alternative lifestyles, it is about being inclusive of
ALL residents of Bozeman. Thank you for reading.
