Pride Flag-NO PLEASE
Please do not adopt the LGBTQ+ rainbow flag as a City of Bozeman flag.
As a mother of a son who has chosen to live the homosexual lifestyle, I
believe that parents, families, friends, and communities can love the
homosexual community well without compromising their beliefs or being
forced to accept their lifestyle.
Christian families (as well as other religious denominations) are already
broken and divided when their loved ones choose to live the homosexual
lifestyle. Why broaden that divisiveness into communities and cities?
In a world full of confusion, we need to stand firm on truth and honor God in
his creation of man and woman.
This is not about hate-it is about honoring longstanding tradition, family, and
faith.
The official flag of Bozeman symbolizes education, agriculture, and the
natural beauty of the area, reflecting Bozeman’s rich heritage and
community values.
Everyone in the city should feel included, but that is not the case when the
government placates to a specific lifestyle or political view. Government
should remain neutral unless ALL VIEWS are represented.
Adopting the pride flag would be a betrayal of this neutrality, a violation of
state law, and an insult to the idea of public unity.
Thank you,
Jacquie Gray
