Dear Commissioners:
With all due respect, individual special interest groups should not be represented by an officialindividual flag. Our city should have one official flag that represents the entire community.
Why single out a specific group? Why not represent every single special interest group inBozeman? Where's the flag for amputees? Where's the flag for married heterosexual women?
Where's the flag for the original inhabitants of this valley? Where's the flag for animal lovers?Where's the flag for fishermen? For hunters?
I could go on, but I assume you understand my position. Bozeman is a welcoming diversecommunity. We exhibit this by our behavior, not by waving a flag that is nothing more than
meaningless virtue signalling. I strongly oppose making the rainbow flag an official city flag.Heidi Barr, Bozeman
