I am writing in opposition to the adoption of pride flag as the City of Bozeman flag.
I am not your Keeper, it is not my place to judge you, however, it is not your place to force me into accepting your
judgment of me.
In my 73 years living here there has always been “those people”. I never understood the Gay life as it seems
contrary to natural human relations. In the “Old Bozeman” I never observed repression of the Gays. They may not
have been accepted but were always treated the same as anyone else. They never forced themselves on anyone. They
weren’t obnoxious or disrespectful.
Now the LGBTQ? Community demands special treatment. They get a whole month to force their lifestyle upon the
majority and are now demanding that Bozeman observe them with a flag of the city. They say it makes them feel
comfortable thinking they are accepted. Far from reality. It only serves to further divide our fragile society.
Maybe you should consider a flag for other minorities. How about Black Panthers or the Weather Underground or
Black Lives Matter or Scots-Irish (Me) or Antifa. Better yet why not Blackfeet/Flathead they were here first.
Do not bend to the Tyranny of the Minority. Our US Flag and Montana Flag represents all of us, Gay or Straight.
