Dear City Commissioners,
I am writing to respectfully express my opposition to the proposal to adopt the Pride flag as
Bozeman’s official city flag.
While I support inclusivity and respect for all residents, I believe our city flag should remain aneutral symbol that represents the entire community, rather than a specific group or cause.
Adopting a flag that represents one segment of our population could unintentionally createdivision and set a precedent for future proposals that may not reflect the values of all Bozeman
residents.I urge you to maintain the current city flag and seek ways to promote unity and inclusiveness
without making the city flag a symbol for any particular group. Please consider the importanceof a city flag that stands for all citizens equally.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
