I have beenvolunteering for the last 8 years most recently with HRDC’s Fork and Spoon and The Help Center’s Sacks Thrift store. I think we are living in a time where everyone needs support. This includes 2SLGBTQIA+.Bozeman can make a case and continue to fly the flag they have flown since 2021. This flag means so much to so many and it hurts no one to put it back. I think we want all LGBTQ+ residents, visitors, and youth: “You belong here. You are seen. You are safe.” Every week I hear about another life lost. And if flying the flag can help to me it seems like we should fly the flag. Research shows that inclusive environments reduce suicide rates, improve mental health, and increase civic participation for LGBTQ+ people. I urge you the city commission to approve the Pride flag as an official city flag. I invite you to support this measure to show your support for inclusion. Dayna Bergin
