Do not click links or open attachments unless you recognize the sender and know the content is safe. Dear Bozeman City Commission, I’m am against adopting the LGBTQ+ flag as our city’s flag. According to a brief online search, approximately 2.9% of Montana's population identifies as LGBTQ+. Hispanics made up 4.7% of the state’s population as of 2023 and I’m sure it has increased since then. So why would we choose to adopt the symbol of such a small minority of our population to represent our city? Why not fly the Mexican flag instead? To me this just doesn’t make sense. Can’t we just treat every person as a person rather than drawing such attention to sexual orientation or race? Sincerely, David Barnhart
