Dear City of Bozeman,
I have proudly lived in Bozeman for 30 years.
While I support what the pride flag stands for, I am opposed to declaring the pride flag as the
official flag of the City of Bozeman.
If you are looking to show the unity and inclusivity of Bozeman, this flag alone does not showthat. Nowhere on that flag am I, as a heterosexual white single mom, included. This flag does
not represent me. Many other categories of people, who are the backbone of our city, areexcluded in this flags representation.
By declaring the pride flag as the official flag of Bozeman, you are not showing inclusion.
You are showing the bowing down to a loud minority. A minority that should be included butnot at the exclusion of other groups of people.
An official flag of a city should be created to actually include all the diversity of the people
who make up its demographic.
I will be disappointed if this resolution passes.
Anyway.....my two cents.
