I have raised my family here and have always found Bozeman to be a friendly, welcoming town. One of my familymembers is now part of the LGBTQ community....and that's fine. I adore this kind, responsible adult no matter who they love and I want them to be proud to be from Bozeman. I speak both as a parent and a long-time counselor - raising the rainbow flag HELPS peoplewho may otherwise feel isolated. I wish I could share the confidential and painful stories of discrimination towards LGBTQ+ folks that I've heard in my office. We're all unique people inhundreds of ways, and respecting our differences is a critically important step in acknowledging that everyone belongs here. It's a simple and beautiful flag. No one is injured by flying a beautiful flag. Please vote to return the Pride rainbow flag to City Hall - show the world that we accepteach other. Sincerely, Sunny Mavor, MS Licensed Clinical Professional CounselorBozeman
