Dear City Commissioners,
I am writing to respectfully express my opposition to the proposal to adopt the Pride flag as
Bozeman’s official city flag.
While I support inclusivity and respect for all residents, I believe our city flag should remain a
neutral symbol that represents the entire community, rather than a specific group or cause.
Adopting a flag that represents one segment of our population could unintentionally create
division and set a precedent for future proposals that may not reflect the values of all
Bozeman residents.
I urge you to maintain the current city flag and seek ways to promote unity and inclusiveness
without making the city flag a symbol for any particular group. Please consider the importance
of a city flag that stands for all citizens equally.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Thanks,
Ryan J Vine
