Dear City Commission,
As a proud heterosexual ally, I strongly support flying the Pride flag on Bozeman’sgovernment and school properties. The Pride flag is more than a symbol — it represents
visibility, acceptance, and safety for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. In a world where manystill face discrimination, this visible support helps foster belonging and sends a message of
inclusion to all residents and visitors.
The decision to fly the Pride flag is a powerful statement of support for our queer neighbors,
friends, and family. After setbacks like the recent law banning it, it’s even more important forBozeman to demonstrate that we are a welcoming and inclusive community.
Flying the Pride flag promotes visibility and helps combat stigma and discrimination. Itreminds us all that change is possible and that every person deserves respect and dignity.
Bozeman has a chance to lead by example and show that our community values diversity andstands up for equal rights.
Please vote to bring back the Pride flag as a sign of hope, progress, and celebration of queerjoy.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Maggie BennettBozeman MT 59718
