Do not click links or open attachments unless you recognize the sender and know the content is safe. Dear City Commissioners, I am unable to attend the meeting on July 15, 2025. As a 4th generation Montanan and Bozemanite, here is my opinion and I believe it's worth reading. Thank you, Jean Watson Treating people differently, better or worse, because of sexual orientation, religion, race, etc., is a form discrimination. The Pride Flag does not represent the personal beliefs of everyone in the Montana or Bozeman "community". Flying the Pride Flag with the American Flag, State of Montana Flag and City of Bozeman Flag would be blatantly disrespectful to anyone with different beliefs. Those who want the Pride Flag flown on public property know this. Freedom belongs to everyone. No person or group has the "Right" to use and manipulate the government to impose their personal beliefs onto others publicly. WE are Americans. We do not agree on many issues, but our strength is togetherness. That is not something which can be forced. The Pride Flag is a passive aggressive visual piece of art, designed using bright rainbow colors to garner attention and evoke positive, cheerful feelings. If the Pride Flag is flown on government property, the City of Bozeman will need to install about one MILLION more flag poles to properly represent the vast array of personal beliefs in our "community," ensuring no person or group feels ostracized, and EVERYONE is heard.
