Dear City Commissioners,
I am writing to respectfully express my opposition to the proposal to adopt the Pride flag as
Bozeman’s official city flag.
While I have respect for all residents, I believe our city flag should remain a neutral symbolthat represents the entire community, rather than a specific group or cause. Adopting a flag
that represents one segment of our population could unintentionally create division and set aprecedent for future proposals that may not reflect the values of all Bozeman residents.
If you decide to fly the pride flag or add that to the city flagthen you better expect to fly everyother flake out there as well.
I urge you to maintain the current city flag and seek ways to promote unity and inclusivenesswithout making the city flag a symbol for any particular group. Please consider the importance
of a city flag that stands for all citizens equally. Not just a small minority of people..
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
