Dear Commissioners,
I am writing to express my concern regarding the recent discussions during the June 24 CityCommission UDC work session, in which all Commissioners agreed to remove the limit on
the number of units allowed in the lowest density residential zoning districts, such as Figginsand Allison Subdivision.
As a resident of the Alder Creek community on the north side of Brookdale that backs to theAllison subdivision, I believe that removing these limits could significantly alter the character
of our neighborhood and potentially lead to overdevelopment in areas that have historicallybeen designed for lower-density housing. The impact of this decision could strain local
resources, increase traffic, and change the overall feel of our residential areas, which many ofus value for their quieter, more spacious environment.
I urge you to reconsider this approach and maintain reasonable density limits to preserve theintegrity of our neighborhoods.
Thank you for considering my concerns. I hope you will take them into account as you moveforward with these discussions.
Sincerely,Christy Huddleston
