Dear commissioners,
I am writing to voice my strong opposition to any consideration of making the pride flag our city flag. Our city
government should be fully neutral. The current city flag is representative of that neutrality.
Please do not be pressured by any voice that claims oppression in some form or fashion that would be healed by
having the pride flag as our city flag. Our city already is supportive of all personal choices, and there is no need to
be changing our city flag. In addition, it would be in violation of recent statute passed by our Montana legislature.
Please uphold Montana statute as it was passed. To make this change to a pride city flag, in ANY form or fashion,
creates a slippery slope for any other political or personal persuasion that would claim their need for representation
by a city flag. It would never end. Please keep our current city flag with no attached symbolism to the pride
movement.
Respectful, yours,
Rosemary Keller
City resident
