Date: July 6, 2025 Bozeman City Clerk121 North Rouse Ave.PO Box 1230Bozeman, MT 59771-1230 RE: Protest of Annexation and Zone Map Amendment – Application No. 24570 To Whom It May Concern,As the legal owners of real property located at 4634 Danube Lane, Bozeman, MT, wehereby submit this formal written protest in opposition to Annexation and ZoneMap Amendment Application No. 24570, as noticed for public hearing before theBozeman City Commission. We submit this protest pursuant to Montana Code Annotated §76-2-305, as we qualify asadjoining property owners. Statement of ProtestWe oppose the proposed zoning changes and annexation described in Application 24570for the following reasons, among others: · Incompatibility with the existing rural and low-density character ofsurrounding Properties · Significant increase in traffic and safety risks entering and exiting BaxterMeadows West neighborhood due to increased traffic and increased vehiclespeeds, which is already a problem due to the new Cottonwood/Baxter/Harper-Puckett traffic circle · Significant increase in traffic and safety risks on undersized County-managedroads · Lack of public transportation to help alleviate increased traffic created by thenew development, which is already a problem due to the new development onCottonwood between Oak and Durston · Excessive zoning density that strains City services and does not support long-term neighborhood stability · Overburdening of limited law enforcement resources, particularly on HarperPuckett Road · No public benefit justification for high-density development at this gatewaylocation · Additionally, the increase in water usage for new businesses and residents willstrain an already tenuous supply.
