Esnard - Pride flag for BozemanFrom:Glen Esnard To:Bozeman Public Comment Subject:[EXTERNAL]Pride flag for Bozeman Date:Sunday, July 6, 2025 12:43:27 PM CAUTION: This email originated from outside of the organization. Blacks, Hispanics, Palestinians, handicappd, Native Americans, women, and, yes, the array of groups that fallunder the "Pride" umbrella, all have members who truly believe the playing field is not level. For each of these groups and individuals, the experience, whether in 1777 or 2024, is personaland painful. However, while all have undoubtedly faced oppression or abuse at times in our history, it is certainly up for debate whether these groups are, today, oppressed. The challenge comes when our leaders, the government we fund, elects to declare singularsupport for one group over others. This misrepresents constituents. As well it misrepresents those groups disregarded in favor of the preferred group, in this case LGBTQ+. Our Bozeman representatives face difficult issues in crime, growth management, housingaffordability, city services funding, and others. Please invest your efforts in solving our very real problems rather than "jousting with windmills" against a State law that impacts no lives inBozeman.
