RE: Pride Flag does not represent Bozeman Family Values
Mayor and Commissioners:
1) We moved back to Bozeman over 20 years ago to raise our son in this community of sharedinterests, outdoor life, church and good education. Note that raising children is not aconsideration within the Pride community. Nor is telling other parents how to raise their own
children a dialogue within that community.
Being a survivor of molestation by a sexual predator over 60 years ago, it is troubling to see
our community leaders embracing an ethos which has historically produced such debilitating
mental challenges for our society. The trauma incurred by fluid sexual identity , individualsseeking to convert susceptible children and young adults to others sexual preferences doesnot need to be the focus of our family orientated community. These issues bring a lifetime of
therapy and painful memories, destroying meaningful lives.
I was fortunate that my Jewish grandma and Christian mother could invoke God’s protective
Spirit to release me from such sexual bondage. This singular focus by Pride on sexual choicesdoes have a significant psychosis impact on those choosing such a path of life.
Surely as leaders of our small town, you can find a better way to lead our citizens to ahigher calling than the means with which one achieves sexual satisfaction. Having a flag atour schools which promotes sterile (non-child bearing) relationships is a divisive vehiclestating that our family values and love of our biological children are irrelevant in ourcommunity.
2)Reverse Discrimination by our City staff in allowing Pride Parade activities to proceed
without paying the standard fees and costs associated to all other organizations is the quiet
decision which the Bozeman voters know nothing about.
Transparency by our Commissioners is sorely lacking. If there were MAGA affiliates supporting
Commissioners we would quite alarmed and vocal. As such it is a disappointment to see ourgoverning representatives receive financial and administrative assistance to support agendaswhich do not represent the work ethics and family values which lead people to choose and
raise their children in Bozeman.
Simply vote NO to Pride Flags sharing space with the higher ideals of our nation.
