Do not click links or open attachments unless you recognize the sender and know the content is safe. The pride flag should not become an official city flag of Bozeman. Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans. That is what the pride flag represents. There is not a single flag that is more exclusive than the pride flag. For people worried about inclusivity it's alwaysseemed strange they would fly a flag that excludes 90% of people. There is only one flag that represents 100% of citizens in this country and that is the American flag. The American Flagrepresents people of all races, religions, and backgrounds under one symbol that unites them all. There is also only one flag that represents 100% of residents in Montana, and that is theMontana state flag. The American Flag stands for freedom, justice, and the unity of the United States. It represents our fight for independence and our constitutional republic form of government. The Montanaflag is a symbol of Montana's incredible natural beauty, history. On the other hand, the pride flag represents peoples sexual preferences. I struggle to see how this is an appropriate flag tofly above state buildings and in schools. The effort to get this flag made into an official city flag seems to be more of a protest against state legislation, legislation that most people in thestate support, meaning it is also a protest against most Montanans. The city should focus on fixing real problems Bozeman has that affects everyone instead of trying to appease to thefeelings of a small group of people. When you fly the pride flag next to the United States Flag and the Montana State flag, it means that LGB people are separate from the rest of us. In an effort to be inclusive you areactually being exclusive. I urge the city council to not adopt the pride flag as a city flag and instead fly the two flags that represents everyone in the state, no matter who you are: The American flag and theMontana State Flag. Sincerely, Connor Culver
