005 - G-5 - GEN STRUCTURAL NOTES
DEMOLITION NOTES:THE DEMOLITION DRAWINGS, SECTIONS, DETAILS, AND NOTES PROVIDE A GENERAL REPRESENTATION ANDDESCRIPTION OF THE ITEMS AND AREAS TO BE DEMOLISHED. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL FIELD VERIFYACTUAL QUANTITIES AND LOCATION FOR ALL INDICATED ITEM AS NECESSARY TO COMPLETE THE SCOPE OFDEMO WORK IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTSCONTRACTOR TO ENSURE DEMOLITION SEQUENCE DOES NOT CREATE UNSTABLE CONDITIONS OF EXISTINGELEMENTS TO REMAIN AND ELEMENTS YET TO BE DEMOLISHED. PROVIDE TEMPORARY SHORING ASREQUIREDIF ON SITE CONDITIONS DIFFER FROM THOSE SHOWN IN THE DRAWING SET, NOTIFY ENGINEER OF RECORD.COORDINATE WITH THE OWNER FOR ANY ITEMS OR EQUIPMENT TO BE SALVAGED. UNLESS SPECIFICALLYSCHEDULED FOR REUSE, DEMOLISHED MATERIALS SHALL BECOME THE POSSESSION OF THE CONTRACTORAND SHALL BE IMMEDIATELY REMOVED FROM THE SITEREMOVE MATERIALS FROM SITE AND DISPOSE OF IN A LEGAL MANNERDEBRIS SHALL NOT BE ALLOWED TO ACCUMULATE WITHIN THE BUILDING OR ON SITEBURNING OF MATERIAL ON SITE IS NOT PERMITTEDNOTIFY AFFECTED UTILITY COMPANIES BEFORE STARTING WORK AND COMPLY WITH THEIR REQUIREMENTSPREVENT MOVEMENT OR SETTLEMENT OF ADJACENT STRUCTURES.
