APPLICATION
This application is evaluated against the site plan criteria of section 38.230.100 and the Special Use criteria of 38.230.110 of the Bozeman municipal code (BMC) and associated standards. Per 38.230.100.B, BMC, approval is granted if all criteria are met. The public may comment in writing regarding compliance of this application with the required criteria. Comments should identify the specific criteria of concern along with facts in support of the comment. Per 38.250.030.B, BMC, issues not raised during public comment period may not be raised on appeal. During the notice period the City will continue review for compliance with applicable regulations. Project Name: Resurrection University Parish Expansion Site Plan and Special Use Expansion Application: 24642 (Site Plan) and 25233 (Special Use Permit Expansion)
Summary: This is a site plan for the 12,415 square foot (sf) expansion of the 17,613-sf building complex. It includes expansion of the parish community/student center area, construction of a new 4,595-sf rectory living quarters, and alterations to existing parking, open space and landscaping areas. The church was established in the 1970’s and the existing church building on this site was built in 1980 and was added onto in 2011 (Project #Z10356). Per UDC Table 38.310.030.B, a community center (the definition which includes a church) is a Special Use in the R-4 District and, therefore, the evaluation includes an expansion of the existing Special Use Permitfor the church use of the Site.
