Tom:
I would like the commission to deny the R3/R-5 zoning for these acres. This does not fit in with the surrounding
neighborhoods and this area needs to be a buffer between the large amount of multi-family units already being built
across Baxter. Baxter Meadows West is an established neighborhood of single family homes. We bought with the
intent to have the value of our homes upheld with similar housing around us. There are already SO MANY
VACANT apartments and townhomes across town. We need more smaller single family homes in Bozeman not
more multi-family units. This would be a good buffer and offer families choice even when they can’t afford the
million dollar homes. Please consider not allowing any more multi family units until the ones currently vacant are
getting and staying full. Where will the water come from?? No more allowances for developers. Please slow down
and consider the long-term effect of the decisions you are making. People invest too much for you to make rash
decisions without thought. Please deny this and all others until we come up with a water solution. Developers should
be paying for their own projects not the tax paying citizens (and this doesn’t mean a trade, I want actual water
ideas).
