Hello, I'm writing in opposition to the rezoning of park land for yet another townhome development. With the median home price now pushing past $700,000, thousands of residents are beingpriced out of the market. Meanwhile, Section 8 Housing Assistance is frozen with 3,000 families on the waitlist. https://nbcmontana.com/news/local/section-8-housing-voucher-program-paused-in-montana The vacancy rate for Q4 2024 currently stands at 10.49%, suggesting an oversupply. Thisanalysis indicates an oversupply in multifamily housing, with the lowest availability in studios and three-bedroom apartments. Notably, almost 90% of available units are one or twobedrooms. Our community doesn't need more high-priced townhomes that the Bozeman population cannot afford. We *really* don't need those townhomes taking over PARK LAND! The Gallatin Co Regional Park is the only large park on this side of town, and those of us wholive here (I'm in Baxter Meadows) are so frustrated that development continues to overtake the beautiful natural land that made this community so appealing in the first place. Please remember that these NINE townhomes are not needed—and they are not wanted. Vote no. Nicole RossBozeman Homeowner
