Dear City Commissioners,
I am writing as a concerned resident and frequent user of Gallatin County Regional Park toexpress my strong opposition to any proposed development within or adjacent to the park.
This park is one of the few remaining open and natural spaces in our growing community, andit provides invaluable benefits to residents of all ages. The openness of the park not only
allows for scenic views and a peaceful environment, but it also ensures clear visibility andsafety for families enjoying outdoor activities. From watching my neighbors children play
sports to walking my dog every day and appreciating the sunrise and sunsets. Thedevelopment would irreversibly disrupt the natural beauty and depreciate the value the park
holds.
Building on or near this land would significantly impair public access, reduce visibility of
playing fields, and take away from the overall experience of being in a truly open, sharedspace. It’s not just about preserving a view—it’s about maintaining the community’s ability to
enjoy the park in the way it was intended: as an accessible, open, and natural environment forall.
I urge the city to reconsider any plans for development in or around Gallatin County RegionalPark and instead prioritize the long-term preservation of this vital community resource.
Thank you for your time and for considering the voices of local residents who care deeplyabout the future of our public spaces.
