Dear Mayor and City Commissioners,
I am writing to express my wholehearted support for the adoption of the Pride Progress Flag—and its variations—as an official symbol of the City of Bozeman. As someone who was born
and raised in this beautiful community and who has spent the past 15 years working as acounselor with LGBTQ+ individuals and families, I know firsthand the importance of visible
signs of inclusion and affirmation.
Bozeman has long been a place that values neighborliness, resilience, and respect. Byofficially embracing the Pride Progress Flag, our city would be sending a powerful message:
that all people—regardless of their sexual orientation, gender identity, or background—belonghere and are valued members of our community.
This gesture would not just be symbolic; it would be a statement of support for many who stillface discrimination, isolation, and fear in their daily lives. It would affirm to our LGBTQ+
residents, especially youth, that their city sees them, stands with them, and wants them tothrive. It would reflect the compassion and strength of the Bozeman I know and love.
I urge you to consider this step toward visibility and equity. It is a simple yet meaningful way
to foster a community where everyone feels safe, supported, and proud to call Bozeman home.Thank you for your time, your leadership, and your continued dedication to making Bozeman
a welcoming place for all.
Warm regards,Jasmine VanAntwerp
