Hello,
I am unable to attend the zoning commission meeting scheduled for June 17 and I wanted toexpress my strong disapproval of allowing a developer to add townhomes in the regional
park. I have lived in Bozeman since 1988 and live at 1757 Ryun Sun Way which is one blockaway from the regional park. I enjoy walking through the park in the mornings and evenings
and being able to experience the lovely open space in the midst of town. With all thedevelopment that is happening and planned to happen in West Bozeman, it would be a shame
to allow this open space to be developed. So many people are currently utilizing the park. When I am out on my walks, I am surprised at how many folks are out enjoying the park no
matter what time of the day I happen to be there.
I have taken part in the Random Acts of Silliness light parade the last two years and it is greatto have an open space to celebrate and have a winter light parade. Adding more homes would
take up valuable space for homes and parking and basically cut the open space in half. Please, please, please do not allow another developer to come in and profit from our open space which
is priceless and we will never be able to get it back. Listen to the citizens instead of the dollarsigns that seem to influence most of the decisions on zoning that the city has been making
over the last few years...if you love Bozeman like I do, you know that having open space isone of the things that makes it the most loveable, so please do not take away.
Respectfully,
Julie Jorgensen1757 Ryun Sun Way
