June 12, 2025; 8:00am (Please place the following public comment in the Inter-Neighborhood Council (INC) folder and distribute to all INC reps in time for the June 12 INC meeting. Thank you.) Inter-Neighborhood Council (INC): I am writing to ask the INC to vote today to write a letter to the City Commission in support of Commissioner Jennifer Madgic's recent (June 3) suggestion to enact a pause (i.e., atemporary moratorium) on large building development (>= 35,000 sq ft buildings) within the NCOD until the NCOD regulations are updated as part of the UDC update process. As acommunity, we need this pause to craft tools to manage building mass and scale and to rework the zoning map to ensure development entitlements match community desires. I note that Commissioner Madgic's June 3 suggestion to enact a temporary moratorium onlarge building development within the NCOD will be discussed as part of the Commission's June 24 work session on the UDC update. Consequently, it is important for the INC to votetoday on this issue. Thank you for considering this request.
