Dear Mayor, Deputy Mayor, Commissioners, and City Manager- I wanted to thank you for last week's work session before your meeting tonight. I am unableto attend the meeting tonight and I don't think 3 minutes would be enough time. Deputy Mayor Morrison- Thank you for running a good work session. I appreciated your attention to includingTransportation and Environment up front and it demonstrated your commitment to fairness in the work session. The overview you gave after the transportation discussion for what themeeting was going to cover was also very helpful for the public and excellent clarification. Commissioner Madgic- Thank you for asking staff to pull up the five topics for the public to see and it was unfortunate that there wasn't a slide available. If staff had included the 5 topicsin their memo and presentation, it would have addressed my concern about administrative drift. Hopefully that can be made available for the June 24 meeting. Commissioners Madgic and (Fischer?)- Thank you for asking for the temporary and legal 6month moratorium on new development applications while the UDC update is completed. I agree this would alleviate a lot of resident stress. There are hundreds of housing units alreadyin the "pipeline" that could continue to move forward in the meantime. Commissioners (all)- Thank you for your interest and direction in boulevard trees, natural resource inventories, independent ecologists, additional "teeth" in code language preservingthe natural terrain, reframing the idea of using the existing code more vigorously, the legal review of improving the language to replace "to the greatest extent possible", general supportof the work done by Bozeman Tree Coalition and the Gallatin Watershed Council, and more. Commissioners (all) - It would be great to have one more commissioner to support the temporary moratorium raised by Commissioners Madgic and Fischer. City Manager Winn- a) Thank you for getting clarity from the City Commission via thumbs up, nods, ayes, etc. Unfortunately, attendees listening to the meeting on their phones, watching the live stream, orthose with sight limitations, often can't see the nods or thumbs. Instead, please use a combination of auditory and visual response so that all attendees can follow along withindividual commissioner's support. I would be in favor of a hand raise and verbal "aye" and for it to be consistently used in future meetings, too. Thank you all for all the good work you are doing, Marcia Kaveney
