Swanson - Protest of Annexation and ZMA of 5211 Baxter Lane, App 24570 City Commission c/o Bozeman City Clerk 121 North Rouse Ave PO Box 1230 Bozeman, MT59771-1230 Re: Protest of 24570 To Whom it May Concern, We, Daniel Eugene Wedge Swanson and Elinor Alden Swanson, are the owners of 4687 Baxter Lane, Bozeman, MT 59718,which is just across the street from the proposed development at 5211 Baxter Lane, application number 24570. We would like to protest the proposed R5 zoning immediately across the street from the existing R1 zoning,where we live. When R5 and R1 zones meet, there should be an interface: a transition between low- density family homes (R1) and higher-density, mixed-use developments (115). R5 buildings are significantly taller than R1 buildings. Even across the street, R5 buildings will tower over us, and block the sunlight. R5 buildings also have a significantly different residential character than R1 homes do. R1 and R5 zones should not be adjacent to one another. Instead, there should be R3 zoning or other intermediate zoning buffer zone immediately across the street from our R1 zoning, Thank you for your consideration, Daniel gene Wdge Swanson Elinor Alden Swanson
