Dear Mayor, Deputy Mayor, Commissioners, and Community Development Department,
I want to start by thanking staff and elected officials for slowing the UDC update by agreeing to multiple work
sessions so the process is transparent.
Please act on Commissioner Madgic's suggestion at the June 3rd commission meeting to enact a pause, a temporary
moratorium, on large developments (35,000 sq ft) within the NCOD.
The city of Bozeman needs this pause while, together as a community, we craft tools to manage mass and scale in
the UDC update. This allows time to rework the zoning map to make sure development entitlements match
community desires.
Please! Please enact this temporary moratorium as soon as possible!
