I did see that the City Hall Site is not being zoned as PLI, like most/all other public institutions. I asked Saunders about it, and he that that was
intentional. Good Call.
My thought is the City might want to think about the City Shops site too – maybe designate it RB to match neighborhood to the west . . or better
RC, which is an even smarter move for the future of this significant corner property . . which should have a high level of affordable housing on it. I
would argue 50% min (as some market rate can help pay some bills). Maybe 60/40 Aff/Mkt?
Anyway – it will make the property worth more if you are certain the Shops go away someday sooner than later.
