Subject: Objection to Rocky Mountain Flats development
You don't often get email from bobstevens@gallatinassociates.com. Learn why this is important
To whom it may concern:
I am a homeowner of 3346 S. 26th Ave in the Meadow CreekDevelopment. While I am totally in favor of providing low income/affordable housing in ourcommunity, this type of housing needs to be close to adequate public transportation and othercritical services. By siting a 250 unit low income project 3.5 miles from the nearestservices you are only adding to the hardships already imposed on a disadvantaged population. I further object to the impact such a project will have on the property values of the homesin my neighborhood. Sadly, this project will be a collection point for broken down andabandoned vehichles and will invariably attract a higher percentage of social problems thatcannot be as easily addressed by services located in the downtown area. In other markets that I
am familiar with, successful low income, high density housing is adjacent to majortransportation hubs in mixed use neighborhoods where commercial and medical services and
job opportunities are close at hand. Rocky Mountain Flats satisfies none of these needs.
Thank you for considering my concerns.
