Learn why this is important I'm writing to comment on the proposed development of Rocky Mountain Flats at this site. This location is not a suitable location for this kind of development. First, while Bozeman needs affordable housing, there is a lack of infrastructure for thisdevelopment, which is 3.5 miles at best from essential services. No public transportation isplanned for this part of town for decades according to the City Commission. The project isn't amatch for the location. Second, Meah Lane, which runs next to a park where many children play, does not have theinfrastructure necessary to handle the increased traffic and safety issues. A development likethis needs to have a different egress than a small road through higher priced homes. Third, placing a large-scale, high-density project in an area with lower-density, high-valuehomes will decrease our property values and harm the character of the neighborhood. Theneighborhood is already experiencing density issues because of limited roads and trails for thenumber of houses and apartments nearby (especially with that atrocious apartment complex onthe corner of Graf and 19th). Fourth, Blueline Development has never developed a property of this size, has limitedinformation about their company online, and expects turnover to be high for these units at 33%-- which makes the third concern I have even higher. Here's yet again another out of statecompany coming to Bozeman to build and make money while ruining the character of ourneighborhoods. Kate RyanResident of Meadow Creek
