Dear City of Bozeman,
I am writing to comment on the NEHMU zoning district within the UDC proposal.
1. Please extend the zoning district north of Aspen Street, to exclude that cut-out from thezoning district.
2. Please make the residential height 2 stories in NEHMU, not 3 stories. 3. Please make the setbacks for townhouses the same as single-family homes
4. For commercial and mixed-use buildings, please limit the height to a maximum of 3 stories,not 5 stories; it is vitally important to preserve the historic and iconic mill building as the
tallest building in the zoning district. 5. For commercial and mixed-use buildings, please require a minimum 10' setback from the
interior sidewalk edge, with 15' setback from the front-door side. It is vitally important tohave a human-scale transition from side-walk to building mass for this walking and biking
neighborhood. 6. Please rename to the NENA-recommended name, incorporating the arts & cultural historic
district.
