To the Bozeman City Commissioners and Staff, My name is Eliza Spogis, and I’m writing to express my support for the Centennial ParkNeighborhood (CPN) proposal to be zoned R-A in the Unified Development Code update. I grew up in the Centennial Park Neighborhood. It’s where I learned to ride a bike, play in thepark, and enjoy a childhood rooted in safety, connection, and community. Now, as I look to the future and hope to raise my own children in the same neighborhood, I’m deeply investedin preserving what makes it so special — a haven for working-class families, a livable and safe place to call home, and a neighborhood with real character and charm. The CPN proposal thoughtfully reflects those values. It aligns with the Montana CodeAnnotated (MCA) 2023, offering housing options that support working families while alsoprotecting public safety, transportation access, and natural resources. It also echoes the vision of the Bozeman Community Plan (BCP) 2020, maintaining the future land use designationwhile promoting safety, light, air, and compatible urban growth. The proposal helps prevent the overburdening of nearby infrastructure and ensures incremental, thoughtful density — notsudden, overwhelming development. I urge you to approve the CPN’s zoning request and protect the neighborhood that shaped me— and that I hope will shape the next generation of my family and other families in Bozeman who have spent their whole lives here. Thank you for your time and consideration. Sincerely, Eliza Spogis 613 N Tracy Ave Bozeman, MT 59715
