Mayor, Deputy Mayor, Commissioners, and Community Development Department,
I have read the Bon Ton Rezoning Proposal and I support for the Bon Ton neighborhood'sRezoning Proposal. I frequently travel through this neighborhood and appreciate its historic
and varied architecture, mature trees and other vegetation, set-backs from the street,walkability, and invitation for human interaction. Various methods exist to pursue appropriate
infill development that maintains the character of this area.
I support the residents’ request for the Bon Ton neighborhood, currently zone R-4 to become
R-A in the UDC update, instead of R-C. This change would make Bon Ton Historic Districtneighborhood consistent with neighbors to the east, south, and west, and provide continuity.
A majority of property owner support this rezoning request. The proposal is well organized,detailed, and with evidence provided to support the residents’ rationale for a change in zoning.
I urge the commission to support the request of the Bon Ton neighborhood to be zoned R-A inthe UDC update.
