1.CONTRACTOR RESPONSIBLE TO INFORM LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT OF ANY
DISCREPANCIES OR CHANGES REQUIRED TO THE IRRIGATION DESIGN. IF
CONTRACTOR MAKES CHANGES TO THE IRRIGATION DESIGN WITHOUT
APPROVAL FROM THE LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT. CONTRACTOR TO VERIFY
STATIC PRESSURE IN THE FIELD PRIOR TO BIDDING AND CONSTRICTION. IN THE
EVENT OF DISCREPANCY, CONTRACTOR SHALL NOTIFY LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT
IN WRITING OF ANY CHANGES NECESSARY TO PROVIDE THE REQUIRED
OPERATIONAL PRESSURE AND FLOW. CONTRACTOR ASSUMES FULL
RESPONSIBILITY, COSTS, AND LIABILITIES ASSOCIATED WITH THOSE FIELD
CHANGES OF THE IRRIGATION SYSTEM DESIGN AND PERFORMANCE.
2.CONTRACTOR SHALL INSPECT THE SITE AND VERIFY CONDITIONS AND
DIMENSIONS PRIOR TO CONSTRUCTION.
3.IRRIGATION PLANS ARE SCHEMATIC REPRESENTATION ONLY. PLACE LINES IN A
COMMON TRENCH WHENEVER POSSIBLE. FIELD ADJUST LINES TO AVOID
CONFLICT WITH UTILITIES.
4.IRRIGATION IS COORDINATED WITH THE PLANTING PLAN AND SITE
IMPROVEMENTS, COORDINATION IRRIGATION LAYOUT WITH FINAL INSTALLED
LOCATION OF PLANT MATERIALS. DO NOT ALTER IRRIGATION LAYOUT OR VALVE
LOCATION WITHOUT WRITTEN APPROVAL FROM THE LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT.
NOTIFY LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT IF DISCREPANCIES OCCUR BETWEEN THE
PLANS AND FIELD CONDITIONS.
5.PRIOR TO COMMENCING WORK, CONTRACTOR SHALL SCHEDULE A
PRE-INSTALLATION MEETING WITH THE CITY OF BOZEMAN WATER
CONSERVATION DIVISION. CONTRACTOR SHALL NOTIFY LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT
OF SCHEDULED MEETING NO LESS THAN 2 WEEKS PRIOR.
6.POINT OF CONNECTION (POC): IS ASSUMED 1-1/2" WATER SERVICE LINE WITH
STATIC PRESSURE OF 65 PSI, LOCATION SHOWN APPROXIMATE. VERIFY IN THE
FIELD PRIOR TO INSTALLATION. TAP LINE AND SET WATER METER. THIS SYSTEM
IS DESIGNED FOR A 1-1/2" WATER METER WITH 60PSI STATIC PRESSURE, 53.1
GPM DESIGN CAPACITY AND MAXIMUM WORK PRESSURE OF 40 PSI.
7.ALL TEMPORARY IRRIGATION AREAS SHALL USE IRRIGATION QUICK COUPLERS
AS INDICATED, VIA TEMPORARY ABOVEGROUND OVERHEAD SPRAY. ONCE
PLANT MATERIALS HAVE BEEN ESTABLISHED, TEMPORARY IRRIGATION
EQUIPMENT SHALL BE REMOVED.
8.THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE FINAL IRRIGATION SCHEDULING
PROGRAMMED TO OPERATE WITHIN THE CITY OF BOZEMAN'S WATERING
WINDOW OUTLINE IN BMC 40.02.1290.
9.CONTRACTOR RESPONSIBLE FOR SCHEDULING A PUNCH-LIST SUBSTANTIAL
COMPLETION INSPECTION AND FINAL COMPLETION INSPECTION WITH
LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT. PRIOR TO INSPECTIONS, IRRIGATION MAINLINE TO BE
CHARGED FOR A MINIMUM TWO HOURS AND VALVE BOXES AND EQUIPMENT
HOUSINGS SHALL BE OPEN TO VIEW.
10.CONTRACTOR RESPONSIBLE FOR FURNISHING IRRIGATION AS-BUILTS TO
LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT TWO WEEKS FROM COMPLETION OF FINAL
COMPLETION INSPECTION.
11.PROVIDE PRESSURE REDUCING VALVE UP STREAM OF BACKFLOW ASSEMBLY IF
PRESSURE EXCEEDS 80 PSI. REDUCE TO 65 PSI STATIC PRESSURE.
12.ALL PIPE SIZES INDICATED ARE MINIMUMS. CONTRACTOR MAY NOT DECREASE
PIPE SIZE. LARGER PIPE SIZES MAY BE USED AT NO ADDITIONAL COST TO
OWNER. PIPE SIZES INCREASE IN SIZE DOWNSTREAM OF NEXT PRAY HEAD AS
SHOWN.
13.INSTALL ALL IRRIGATION PIPE AND CONTROL WIRE IN MINIMUM 4" PVC SLEEVE
BELOW ALL PAVED SURFACES UNLESS OTHERWISE INDICATED ON THE PLANS.
INSTALL SLEEVES PRIOR TO PLACEMENT OF PAVEMENTS AND PAVEMENT
SUB-BASE. WHERE PAVEMENT EXISTS, BORE AND PLACE SLEEVES.
14.CONTRACTOR TO PROGRAM AUTOMATIC CONTROLLER TO ALLOW FOR THE
EQUIVALENT OF 1" OF WATER PER WEEK FOR ALL PLANTINGS UNLESS
OTHERWISE INDICATED WITHIN THE PLANS WATERING SCHEDULE, OR PER SITE
AND PLANTING NEEDS FOR BEST PLANT HEALTH.
15.ALL PVC PIPES SHALL BE TRENCHED UNLESS APPROVED IN WRITING TO ALLOW
TO BE PULLED. POLY PIPE MAY BE PULLED. PROVIDE POSITIVE DRAINAGE OF
MAINLINE. PLACE MANUAL DRAIN AT LOW POINTS IN MAINLINE. IDENTIFY
LOCATIONS OF DRAINS ON AS-BUILTS.
16.CONTRACTOR TO INSTALL CONTROLLER AND ACCESSORIES AS REQUIRED.
CONTRACTOR FURNISH CONTROL WIRES FROM VALVES TO CONTROLLER.
CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR COORDINATION FROM EXISTING
ELECTRICAL SERVICE AND CONNECTION TO CONTROLLER. INSTALL ONE (1)
ADDITIONAL RED CONTROL WIRE AND ONE (1) ADDITIONAL WHITE CONTROL
WIRE FROM CONTROLLER TO END OF MAINLINE.
17.ALL TREES TO BE ON A DEDICATED DRIP ZONE FOR DROUGHT PREPARATION.
18.WATER BUDGETS AND PROJECTIONS HAVE BEEN PREPARED BASED UPONE
ASSOCIATED PROJECTED WATER USE UPON CITY OF BOZEMAN WATER
CONSERVATION DISTRICT LANDSCAPE & IRRIGATION STANDARDS, AND THE
CITY OF BOZEMAN PROVIDED WATER BUDGET CALCULATOR. THE BUDGETS AND
PROJECTIONS ASSUME BEST MANAGEMENT PRACTICES FOR IRRIGATION
SYSTEM MAINTENANCE. FIELD STUDIO LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTS IS NOT
RESPONSIBLE AND ACCEPTS NO LIABILITY FOR THE ACTUAL WATER USAGE
VARIATION THAT IS A RESULT OF FIELD MODIFICATION TO THE SYSTEM NOT
MATCHING CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS, IMPROPER MAINTENANCE AND
OPERATION OF THE SYSTEM, WASTE DUE TO SYSTEM DAMAGE OR VANDALISM,
OR WEATHER CONDITIONS THAT DEVIATE FROM PUBLISHED 30-YEAR
HISTORICAL AVERAGES DATA.
