MATERIALSAND EQUIPMENT SHALL BE STORED ON THE PROJECT SITE WHERE APPROVED BY THE OWNER. ITSHALL BE UNDERSTOOD THAT THE RESPONSIBILITY FOR PROTECTION AND SAFEKEEPING OFEQUIPMENT AND MATERIALS ON OR NEAR THE SITE WILL BE ENTIRELY THAT OF THECONTRACTOR AND THAT NO CLAIM SHALL BE MADE AGAINST THE OWNER BY REASON OF ANYACT OF AN EMPLOYEE OR TRESPASSER.4.THE CONTRACTOR SHALL NOTIFY THE ENGINEER AND THE CITY, COUNTY, AND/OR STATEINSPECTOR 48 HOURS PRIOR TO COMMENCING CONSTRUCTION AND 24 HOURS IN ADVANCE OFSPECIFIC INSPECTION NEEDS DURING THE COURSE OF THE WORK. THE CONTRACTOR WILL BE BILLED FOR SAIDINSPECTION SERVICES AS PROVIDED IN THE MOST RECENTLY ADOPTED FEES FOR SUCHSERVICES.5.THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PERFORM ALL CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES IN A MANNER TO MINIMIZEINCONVENIENCE TO THE ADJACENT BUSINESSES.6.THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR PROTECTING ALL PUBLIC AND PRIVATEPROPERTY INSOFAR AS IT MAY BE AFFECTED BY THESE OPERATIONS, ALL COSTS FORPROTECTING, REMOVING, AND RESTORING EXISTING IMPROVEMENTS SHALL BE BORNE SOLELYBY THE CONTRACTOR.7.THE CONTRACTOR SHALL AT ALL TIMES TAKE WHATEVER MEASURES ARE NECESSARY TOASSURE THE PROPER CONTAINMENT AND DISPOSAL OF POLLUTANTS ON THE SITE INACCORDANCE WITH ANY AND ALL APPLICABLE, LOCAL, STATE, AND FEDERAL REGULATIONS.8.THE CONTRACTOR SHALL IMMEDIATELY CLEAN UP ANY CONSTRUCTION MATERIALSINADVERTENTLY DEPOSITED ON EXISTING STREETS, SIDEWALKS, OR OTHER PUBLICRIGHTS-OF-WAY AND MAKE SURE STREETS AND WALKWAYS ARE CLEANED AT THE END OF EACHWORKING DAY.9.CONSTRUCTION WORK ZONE TRAFFIC SIGNS SHALL BE FURNISHED, INSTALLED, AND MAINTAINEDIN ACCORDANCE WITH APPLICABLE REQUIREMENTS OF THE REGULATORY AGENCIES HAVINGJURISDICTION. A TRAFFIC CONTROL PLAN, PREPARED BY THE CONTRACTOR, MAY BE REQUIREDBY THE CITY OF STATE. "CONSTRUCTION AHEAD" WARNING SIGNS ARE TO BE INSTALLED ALONGADJACENT ROADS OR DRIVEWAYS, FLASHERS WITH CAUTION TAPE ARE TO BE INSTALLEDWHERE ANY CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITY CROSSES A SIDEWALK OR PEDESTRIAN PATH INACCORDANCE WITH THE SPECIFICATIONS AND ANY OR ALL LOCAL REGULATIONS.10.NO STOPPING, PARKING, OR STORING OF CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS IN THE PUBLICSTREETS/ROADS, RIGHT-OF-WAY, OR ANY DRIVEWAY IS ALLOWED.11.CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR VERIFYING THAT THERE IS A CONSTRUCTION PERMITAPPROVED BY THE MONTANA DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY (MDEQ) OR LOCALGOVERNING AGENCY AS APPROPRIATE FOR THE CONTROL OF STORM WATER RUNOFF. IF THEREIS NOT AN APPROVED PERMIT, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR OBTAINING THENECESSARY APPROVALS FROM MDEQ OR THE LOCAL GOVERNING AGENCY.12.CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR PROJECT DUST CONTROL.GENERAL NOTES
