Please place this comment in both the Centennial Park Neighborhood Conservation and the Bon Ton Historic District Rezoning Proposal folders. Dear Commission, I'm writing today in full support of the Centennial Park Neighborhood's Conservation inAction Resident-led Proposal as well as the Bon Ton Historic District Rezoning proposal. I am supportive of both proposals for many of the reasons that many others have already mentioned. In particular, I am supportive because both neighborhoods have demonstrated an immenseamount of effort to put together their reports and contact and involve many of their neighbors. The fact that a majority of neighbors have signed on to their respective requests shows greatoutreach efforts. Residents who have signed on are strongly committed to their neighborhood and want to stay in their homes. I believe that zoning should better match what is on the ground, especially in a neighborhoodthat is full of homes of happy residents. This reduces the pressure to redevelop, keeping people in their homes and preserving mature trees, and makes zone edge transitions morerelevant. Zoning that better matches what is on the ground also makes any attempt to incentivize affordability through height or density bonuses more effective. Residents in both neighborhoods have expressed interest in adding incremental density such asthrough ADUs. I hope the City Commission considers and adopts both rezoning proposals in the UDC update and spare the residents the expensive process of a Zone Map Amendment. Thank you for your consideration,Natsuki Nakamura
