Dear lovely study commission, My name is Emily and I work at Bridgercare, the local nonprofit reproductive healthcare clinic. We keep getting asked for our opinion… we don't have a ton for you since we don't partner with the city too much, but these were our initial thoughts: 1. We appreciate our partnership with the City to date. It mostly entails us applying for grant funding through the city when available, having a Streamline stop outside our clinic, and us renting city buildings at a discounted rate whenever we need them. All experiences have been very positive! 2. Affordable housing persists as something we are very supportive of, both for our patients and staff. 3. As for ideas, I don't have a ton of knowledge on groups in the city government that already exist, but perhaps a goal to have at hearings that include the public could be a slot to talk about health equity? In the 36 slides, there was no mention of public health, so Bridgercare could weigh in on an overall increased attention on public health access in meetings like these. Or some sort of advisory group that provides community-driven input to the city about the current state of health access? Just food for thought since you all were asking! Thank you again for all your hard work! Cheers, Emily Emily Allison (she/her) Development Director | Bridgercare P 406-587-0681 x137 eallison@bridgercare.org www.bridgercare.org
