One of the main reasons I moved here was because of the old historic neighborhoods here. I have been dismayed and very saddened to see theextensive large condo complexes being built in the downtown areas. It is irreversibly changing the character of these precious old neighborhoods. There is so much land availableoutside of the historic old parts of town for these large expansions. Subsequently, I am writing today in full support of the Centennial Park Neighborhood's Conservation in Action Resident-led Proposal. The work the neighborhood has done to organize and advocate is impressive! I believe theirrequest for alternate zoning in the UDC update is appropriate for the following reasons: It will protect the existing variety of housing types. R-A zoning will be more likely to conserve mature trees and vegetation (appreciating green assets). It will help preserve the Historic homes in the area. R-A zoning will allow for neighborhood friendly infill over time. Naturally Occurring Affordable Housing or NOAH will be less likely to be redeveloped. And it will preserve the existing character of the neighborhood which lies within theNeighborhood Conservation Overlay District or NCOD. Thank you, Richard Moore
