I fully support Centennial Park Neighborhood's Conservation in Action Resident-led Proposal. Won’t you support it too? I attended their meetings and this is a grassroots effort by real people who live and work in Bozeman and contribute to Bozeman’s character. The neighborhood has done this work, to organize and advocate for themselves, unpaid!! This is impressive! Their request for alternate zoning in the UDC update is appropriate for the following reasons: It supports your growth strategy. It will protect the existing variety of housing types. Zoning change to R-A will promote conservation of mature trees and vegetation to support the cities appreciating green assets. It helps preserve the Historic homes in the area. Zoning this R-A allows for neighborhood friendly infill over time. A goal of the city! I’ve written about this before! Naturally Occurring Affordable Housing or NOAH will be less likely to be redeveloped. And it will preserve the existing character of the neighborhood because it resides within the Neighborhood Conservation Overlay District or NCOD. Please vote in favor of this hard earned request. Thank you, Patty McGown 222 S 13th Ave
