Hello Mayor, Deputy Mayor, and Commissioners, I'm writing today in full support of the Centennial Park Neighborhood's Conservation in Action Resident-led Proposal. I live right next to the massive 4-story apartment development (currently under construction)north of Peach & along 3rd Ave-and am acutely aware of the negative impacts these tall buildings already have on the Centenial Park Neighborhood bordering this project.Allowing more development of such tall buildings & density within this neighborhood would be a further travesty. I believe their request for alternate zoning in the UDC update is appropriate for the followingreasons: It will protect the existing variety of housing types. R-A zoning will be more likely to conserve mature trees and vegetation (appreciating green assets). It will help preserve theHistoric homes in the area. R-A zoning will allow for neighborhood friendly infill over time. Naturally Occurring Affordable Housing or NOAH will be less likely to be redeveloped. Andit will preserve the existing character of the neighborhood which lies within the Neighborhood Conservation Overlay District or NCOD. The city has already gained a huge amount of affordable housing from the massive Peach &3rd Ave development. Please don’t be greedy & further open up the Centennial Park Neighborhood to tall/ intense development! This lovely neighborhood needs protection &friendly infill over time! Thank you, Laura Rose
