To the Commissioners, Now that the NCOD is considered to be guidelines only, we need to have a stronger Historic Preservation Board. No matter where I drive in and out of Bozeman,I see big developments everywhere. Some are reasonable places for development. I am sad to be losing the open views, but I realize that we are a growing city and not all growth isdetrimental. We all know that there are no laws to prevent sprawl, so our Ag land will either become conservation easements of homes. Most people want to live in homes. It isinevitable and I accept that. At the same time It is important to maintain standards in our core neighborhoods so that Bozeman is not radically changed from the town we love. Theseneighborhoods will only provide empty density for luxury 2nd homes and at what cost? We can grow and prosper and hold on to what makes Bozeman a charming town. Pleasestrengthen the design standards for the core neighborhoods. If not, once it's gone, it's gone. Then we will have sprawl and an empty downtown area too. We will be Anywhere USA. Thank you, Mary Lou Osman
