Thanks for considering my additional comment after the EVB. I have been thinking about
Chris Saunder's answers.
Consolidating the B zones in a comparable manner to what this draft does for R zonescould increase the number of housing units within Bozeman, in particular near hubs of
employment. Specifically I suggestChanging B1 to B1-M by using the B2-M residential clause to "There are no
limits on the location or amount of residential uses." This provides flexible futureuse for adding in housing units as the commercial areas change and evolve. It also
has the potential to have walkable/rollable communitiesEliminating B2 while keeping B2-M. Same rationale as above
Consider putting in guidance that RC, RD, or REMU zones should be the residentialzones that neighbor B and M zones. I know that Chris mentioned this could be done
later, but including this planning principle while there is considerable public inputwould be beneficial.
Consider adding small restaurants as allowable uses in RB, RC, RDChanging text from "walkable" to "walkable/rollable" to be more inclusive
