This is the time to comment on any non-agenda matter falling within the scope of the Inter-
Neighborhood Council. There will also be time in conjunction with each agenda item for public
comment relating to that item but you may only speak once per topic.
Please note, the Board cannot take action on any item which does not appear on the agenda. All
persons addressing the Board shall speak in a civil and courteous manner and members of the
audience shall be respectful of others. Please state your name and place of residence in an audible
tone of voice for the record and limit your comments to three minutes.

SUBJECT:Making neighborhoods more bird and pollinator friendly
MEETING DATE:March 13, 2025
AGENDA ITEM TYPE:Citizen Advisory Board/Commission
RECOMMENDATION:None
STRATEGIC PLAN:6.6 Habitat: Work with partner organizations to identify at-risk,
environmentally sensitive parcels contribute to water quality, wildlife
corridors, and wildlife habitat.
BACKGROUND:Lou Ann Harris is a co-chair of the Sacajawea Audubon Society (SAS)
conservation committee. SAS would like to offer their expertise and
resources to Bozeman neighborhoods who might be interested in making
their communities more bird and pollinator friendly. We can send a chapter
volunteer to present an informational talk on any of the following topics:
Bird & Pollinator Friendly Landscaping, Bird Safe Windows, and Burdock
eradication. These are three key ways that we can directly help our declining
wild bird and pollinator populations.

preparedness, facilities, and leadership.
BACKGROUND:Chief Veltkamp will speak to impacts on Bozeman Police Department after
the failed vote on First Responder Mill Levy and Fire Station Bond in
November.
