ARE HEREBY INCORPORATED BY REFERENCE:

-CITY OF BOZEMAN D.S.S.P. (MARCH 2020),
-CITY OF BOZEMAN MODIFICATIONS TO MPWSS (AUGUST 2017)
2.NO CHANGE OR MODIFICATION TO THE APPROVED PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS SHALL BE MADE WITHOUT THE PRIOR
WRITTEN APPROVAL OF THE ENGINEER AND THE CITY OF BOZEMAN ENGINEER.
3.THE CONTRACTOR SHALL NOTIFY THE ENGINEER IMMEDIATELY OF ANY FIELD CONDITION NOT CONSISTENT WITH THE
APPROVED CONSTRUCTION PLANS.
4.THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR FOR ACQUIRING ANY NECESSARY PERMITS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF
THE PROJECT (STREET CUT PERMIT, ETC.). THE ENGINEER WILL ASSIST WITH PREPARING THE STORMWATER DISCHARGE
ASSOCIATED WITH CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITY PERMIT (SWPPP). IF CONSTRUCTION DEWATERING IS ANTICIPATED, THE
CONTRACTOR SHALL NOTIFY THE ENGINEER, AND THE ENGINEER WILL ASSIST WITH PREPARING THIS PERMIT.
5.THE CITY OF BOZEMAN AND THE PROJECT ENGINEER SHALL BE NOTIFIED AT LEAST 48 HOURS PRIOR TO THE BEGINNING
OF CONSTRUCTION.
6.THE TYPE, SIZE, LOCATION, AND NUMBER OF ALL KNOWN UNDERGROUND UTILITIES IN THE PROJECT AREA HAVE BEEN
SHOWN PER FIELD INVESTIGATION AND AVAILABLE UTILITY RECORDS, AND ARE APPROXIMATE ONLY. THE CONTRACTOR
SHALL VERIFY THE LOCATION OF ALL UNDERGROUND UTILITIES PRIOR TO THE BEGINNING OF CONSTRUCTION.
7.PROPOSED DRY UTILITIES (ELECTRICAL, GAS, COMMUNICATIONS) SHOWN ARE SCHEMATIC. THE FINAL INSTALLED
LOCATION OF DRY UTILITIES ARE TO BE COORDINATED WITH THE UTILITY SERVICE PROVIDER.
2.THE CONTRACTOR SHALL ASSUME SOLE RESPONSIBILITY FOR JOB SITE CONDITIONS DURING THE COURSE OF PROJECT
CONSTRUCTION, INCLUDING SAFETY OF ALL PERSONS AND PROPERTY, AND ENSURING THE PROJECT MEETS OSHA
REQUIREMENTS.
3.TRENCH BACKFILL SHALL BE TYPE A FOR ALL AREAS TO BE PAVED.
4.THE CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR PROVIDING ANY NECESSARY TRAFFIC CONTROL FOR THE PROJECT.
5.THE CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR PROVIDING REGULAR CLEANING OF CONSTRUCTION MATERIAL THAT IS
TRACKED ONTO CITY STREETS ADJACENT TO THE PROJECT SITE.
GRADING NOTES
1.REFER TO ABBREVIATIONS IN LEGEND FOR SPOT GRADE DESCRIPTIONS. SPOT GRADES WITH NO ABBREVIATIONS ARE
FINISH GRADE.
2.CURB AND GUTTER IS CATCH CURB UNLESS OTHERWISE INDICATED. THE ELEVATION DIFFERENCE FROM TOP BACK OF
CATCH CURB TO CURB GUTTER FLOW LINE IS 0.45'. THE ELEVATION DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BACK OF DROP CURB AT
PEDESTRIAN RAMPS AND GUTTER FLOW LINE IS 0.06'. THE ELEVATION DIFFERENCE BETWEEN TOP BACK OF SPILL CURB
AND LIP OF CURB (EDGE OF ASPHALT) IS 0.57'.
3.FINISH GRADE SHALL SLOPE AWAY FROM BUILDINGS AT 5% MIN. SLOPE FOR 10'. FINISH GRADE ALONG BUILDINGS SHALL
BE 6" MIN. BELOW TOP OF FOUNDATION WALL IN LANDSCAPED AREAS.
4.ELEVATIONS OF CONCRETE WALKS AT BUILDING ENTRANCES TO BE WITHIN 1/8" OF FINISH FLOOR ELEVATIONS.

WATER NOTES
1.ALL WATER SERVICES LINES LESS THAN 4" IN DIAMETER ARE TO BE TYPE K ANNEALED COPPER PIPE CONFORMING TO
AWWA SPECIFICATION C800. ALL WATER SERVICES 4" IN DIAMETER OR LARGER ARE TO BE DUCTILE IRON PIPE. ALL
SERVICE LINES TO BE INSTALLED PER C.O.B. STD. DWG. NO. 02660-6.
2.INSTALL DETECTABLE WARNING TAPE OVER ALL WATER MAINS AND SERVICES PER CITY STANDARDS.
3.A MINIMUM OF 6.5' OF COVER SHALL BE PROVIDED OVER ALL WATER SERVICES FROM FINISH GRADE TO THE TOP OF PIPE.
INSULATION SHALL BE PROVIDED OVER ANY PORTION OF THE WATER SERVICE WITH LESS THAN 6.5' OF COVER.
4.TAPPING SLEEVES AND SADDLES FOR WATER SERVICE & MAIN TAPS ONTO CITY WATER MAINS SHALL BE FURNISHED AND
INSTALLED BY THE CONTRACTOR. THE WET TAP WILL BE MADE BY THE CITY OF BOZEMAN WATER DEPARTMENT.
SANITARY SEWER NOTES
1.INSTALL DETECTABLE WARNING TAPE OVER ALL SEWER MAINS AND SERVICES PER CITY STANDARDS.
2.UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED, ALL SANITARY SEWER SERVICES ARE TO BE 6" DIA. SDR 26 PVC INSTALLED PER C.O.B. STD.
DWG. NO. 02730-02.
3.SANITARY SEWER SERVICE CONNECTIONS TO EXISTING SEWER MAINS ARE TO BE MADE WITH INSERTA TEES. THE CITY
OF BOZEMAN SHALL BE PRESENT TO WITNESS ALL MAIN TAPS FOR NEW SEWER SERVICES.
4.A MINIMUM OF 5' OF COVER SHALL BE PROVIDED OVER ALL SANITARY SEWER SERVICES FROM FINISH GRADE TO THE TOP
