FLOOR PLAN GENERAL NOTES
1. REFER TO STRUCTURAL, MECHANICAL, AND ELECTRICAL DRAWINGS FOR ADDITIONAL
INFORMATION.
2. ALL WORK SHALL COMPLY WITH APPLICABLE CODES LISTED.
3. ALL MATERIALS SHALL BE INSTALLED ACCORDING TO MANUFACTURER'S RECOMMENDATIONS
UNLESS NOTED OTHERWISE. DRAWINGS SHOW THE DESIGN INTENT AND MAY NOT SHOW ALL
DETAILS FOR INSTALLATION.
4. ALL ELECTRICAL AND PLUMBING WORK SHALL BE INSTALLED BY LICENSED PROFESSIONAL(S)
AND SHALL CONFORM WITH CURRENT CODES.
5. CONFIRM AND COORDINATE LOCATIONS OF ALL UTILITIES WITH CONTRACTOR.
6. FIELD VERIFY ALL DIMENSIONS. DO NOT SCALE DRAWINGS.
7. ALL DIMENSIONS ARE FROM STRUCTURAL GRIDLINES OR UNFINISHED FACE OF STUD, UNLESS
OTHERWISE NOTED.
8. GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE ALL ASPECTS OF THE BUILDING CONSTRUCTION.
9. PROVIDE A SMOOTH AND LEVEL FINISH FLOOR, TYP. PATCH AND REPAIR ALL INCONSISTENCIES
IN FLOOR ELEVATIONS.
10. PATCH AND REPAIR ANY / ALL WALL SURFACES AS REQUIRED TO PROVIDE SUITABLE SUBSTRATE
FOR FINISHES.
11. THE MEANS AND METHODS OF CONSTRUCTION IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR.
12. PROVIDE BLOCKING AS NEEDED FOR ALL WALL MOUNTED EQUIPMENT, FURNISHINGS, ETC.
13. PROTECTION OF PENETRATIONS OF WALL OR FLOOR/CEILING ASSEMBLIES REQUIRED TO BE
FIRE-RESISTANCE RATED IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION R302.2 OR R302.3.
14. THE FLAME SPREAD FOR WALLS AND CEILINGS FINISHED TO BE NOT GREATER THAN 200

17. SMOKE DETECTORS AND CARBON MONOXIDE ALARMS SHALL BE INSTALLED IN EXISTING
BEDROOMS AND HALLWAYS PER IRC 314 & 315.
18. CONTINUITY OF FIRE-RESISTANCE-RATING SHALL BE CONTINUOUS FROM FOUNDATION TO
UNDERSIDE OF ROOF DECKING. SHALL EXTEND THE FULL LENGTH OF THE WALL OR ASSEMBLY,
INCLUDING EXTENSIONS.
19. ALL EGRESS WINDOWS FROM BEDROOMS SHALL HAVE A NEW CLEAR OPENING 5.7 SF AND A
MAXIMUM SILL HEIGHT OF 42"
