Olive Street Bozeman, MT 59715 RE: 24445 BOZEMAN IIG SP TD&H ENGINEERING JOB NO. S23-021 Dear Danielle, The purpose of this letter is to communicate a few items regarding our resubmittal. Development Summary The development consists of a premanufactured building, generators, 6-foot tall, slatted chain link fence with barbed wire looped across the top, and other electrical components to boost a fiber optic signal. As opposed to cell tower sites, this site does not have an antenna. After construction, the site will not have any employees or customers. Therefore, sewer, water, parking and other amenities associated with structures occupied by people are not required. Departure We are requesting a departure from City of Bozeman standards regarding the building entrance, weather protection, façade transparency, and landscaping requirements. The unmanned site is located within industrial zoning. We could not find a form or application on the City’s website to complete so please forward one to us, if necessary. Lighting The shelter will have one light by the man-door that is similar to a residential, front porch light. No other lighting is proposed. Site Solvent Boundary I spoke with Jim Sullivan at Tasman Geoscience on October 23. Since we are not digging very deep and a vast majority of the development is above ground, dewatering the high groundwater is not required. Engineer’s Stamp You will notice the plans and drainage report are not signed or stamped. Per Montana State Law, only the final set of plans and reports need to be signed and sealed. We believe the plans are at 100% but we also realize the City will likely have a comment or two October 31, 2024 PAGE NO. 2 t dhengineering.com that will be corrected and resubmitted. Once we are that close that only a few minor items remain, we will submit signed and stamped plans. This also helps us with document control so the contractor only has one set of stamped plans for the project and they are not building off of an unapproved set. I hope that all makes sense to you. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. Sincerely, Steven N. Marsh, PE Vice President / Regional Manager
