Hello. I am a registered Gallatin County voter, living near N. 5th and Peach streets so "The Guthrie"project affects me personally. This used to be a nice, quiet neighborhood just 7 years ago when I moved here.In the past 4 years it has become a madhouse of construction, increased traffic and many safetyhazards have already surfaced, especially for pedestrians and bicycle riders. Since residents appealed and "The Guthrie" project was denied by the commission in July 2024,requiring a 2 year stay on demolition (City Code 38.340.120.D3), why is this being ignored? The scale/mass violates NCOD standards (City Code38.230.100A.5.c), as well as the designfailing to integrate with the neighborhood in general (City Code 38.230.100.A.7). A traffic study also dismissed critical failures at nearby intersections in an elementary schoolneighborhood. These issues must be addressed. Please listen to the will of the residents here.
